Kent Wildlife Trust - Lydden and Temple Ewell Reserve

Can you provide public feedback via the comments please?

 

Cattle have been grazing since the begining of May (normally starts July)- this has resulted in loss of orchids, Bee, Fragrant and pyramid types.

The public are also concerned of the danger presented by cattle in larger numbers.

 I have spoken with KWT about the possibility fencing off the Public right of Way, to protect the public from the grazing cattle when in this area.

The track is frequently blocked, so walkers can't use the public footpath as a link to access the Temple Ewell area or Lydden area of the reserve.

KWT are not interested - therefore, I have informed Heather at KCC and Mark/Glen at TE Parish Council. 

Remember KWT keep the public happy or lose donations

School/Public safety crossing London Road in the area of outside George & Dragon Place

• On going since 2006 Parish Council / Kent Highways  were made aware of this problem.

• Not one of the suggestions made has been implemented to try and ease the problem until a crossing patrol person is found!
